The township consists of four villages: Bistre\u0163 as the township residence, and Bistre\u0163u Nou, Plosca, Brandu\u0219a as component villages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p><strong>Contact details:<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Phone number: 0251-355011,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.primariabistret.ro\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">www.primariabistret.ro<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p><strong>Brief history:<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>The township of Bistre\u0163 is traced back from the first document written and dated 3rd of October 1385 of Dan I, from where we find out that he strengthens his reign (of Tismana monastery) with the village of Vadul Cumanilor, with half of Toporna and \u201cBistre\u0163 pond\u201d, from Toplata to B\u00e2rjog\u00e2rla, above Covaci\u0163a, with the village of Harsomuni\u0163i and Tismena on both sides. By the charter of 18th of September 1531, Vlad \u00cenecatul ordered to Tismana monastery \u201cto make a village at Vadul Bistre\u0163ului\u201d with neighbours who will gather in that settlement. The existence of the two villages from Bistre\u0163 pond is definitively clarified in the documents from 21st of October (1554-1557) left from P\u0103tra\u0219cu cel Bun in which they are called \u201cBistre\u0163ul and C\u0103lug\u0103reni\u201d, names that will not change in the future. Thus, on Schwart\u2019s map (1722) on Bistre\u0163u estate there are the villages \u201cC\u0103lug\u0103reni and Bistri\u0163a, also in Virmond\u2019s conception\u201d (1728) the villages \u201cBistrezzul del monastero Tismana\u201d (95 families) and \u201cC\u0103lug\u0103reni del monastero Tismana\u201d (11 families). Starting with the 19th century, the monks disappeared definitively from the numerous categories that have been preserved, its name being taken over by the pond on the shore of which it was located for 5 centuries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p><strong>Identification data:<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>The Town Hall of Bistre\u0163 is located on DN 55A, on Str. Calea Dun\u0103rii, no. 192, Bistre\u0163 Township, Dolj County.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p><strong>Points of interest:<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&#8211;<\/strong> <strong>- The Church St. Nicholas and St. Archangels Michael and Gabriel,<\/strong>was founded by Mihail Constandin called \u201cthe Greek\u201d and his son Nicolae (or Nicolache), between 1826 - 1832, today being a historical monument.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>- The Monument of the Heroes from Bistre\u0163 Township <\/strong>was built in honour of the population who participated in the most important historical events that marked the history of Romania: the war of independence from 1877-1878, the First World War and the Second World War.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>- Bistre\u0163 Lake <\/strong>is located on the territory of Bistre\u0163 and C\u00e2rna townships, approximately 5 kilometres away from the Danube. The lake has an area of \u200b\u200b1,936 hectares and is a reference site for the protection of migratory birds. In the area you can admire species of ducks, geese, grebes, pelicans, cormorants, herons, egrets, storks, seagulls, terns and marsh terns, various species of waders. According to the Standard Form of the Natura 2000 site ROSPA0010 Bistre\u0163, the protected area has 1,915.6 hectares, altitudes between 9 and 44 m, territory located in the continental biogeographical region. In this place are nesting 12 pairs of blue gulls (Alcedo atthis), 16 pairs of Red heron (Ardea purpurea), 50 pairs of Yellow heron (Ardeola ralloides), 25-34 pairs of Red duck (Aythya nyroca), 20 pairs of great bittern (Botaurus stellaris), 6 pairs of White stork (Ciconia ciconia), 12-24 pairs of Reed heron (Circus aeruginosus), 11 pairs of Great egret (Egretta alba), 75 pairs of  Little Egret (Egretta Garzetta), 120-166 pairs of common spoonbill (Platalea leucorodia), 34-41 pairs of Glossy ibis (Plegadis falcinellus). During the passage period, the site is used by 4 specimens of lesser white-fronted goose (Anser erythropus), 48 black storks (Ciconia nigra), 20 winter swans (Cygnus cygnus), 78-90 waders (Himantopus himantopus), 31-59 Dalmatian pelicans (Pelecanus crispus), 50-150 common pelicans (Pelecanus onocrotalus), 1,000 pygmy cormorants (Phlacrocorax pygmeus), 400-450 common spoonbills (Platalea leucorodia), 180-211 glossy ibises (Plegadis falcinellus), 44-77 pied avocet, and so on which means that during the migration period there are over 20,000 specimens of pond birds here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p><strong>Other information:<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p><strong>Personalities:<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&#8211; <\/strong><strong>Ilie Balaci<\/strong> was born on 8th of September 1956, in the township of Bistre\u0163 in Dolj County. He started his football career in the children\u2019s and junior teams of the University of Craiova. With the group from B\u0103nie, he won the Romanian championship in 1974, 1980 and 1981, culminating in qualifying for the semi-finals of the UEFA Cup in 1983.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; <strong>Mihai Chirita<\/strong> he was born on 28th of July \/ 10th of August 1914, in township of Bistre\u0163, Dolj County. As a commander he was proposed for decoration with the \u201cCrown of Romania\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>- Ion Bulborea <\/strong>born on 28th of July 1928, in the township of Bistre\u0163, Dolj County, he was a personality who distinguished himself through a rich didactic and research activity in the economic field, over more than four decades, which brought him a scientific and managerial
